ABOUT ALPHA POLY PACKGING

Our Journey Begins Here

Discover how our vision came to life—shaped by passion, driven by purpose, and built to make a difference.

OUR STORY

Clean Poly Packaging began in 2003 as a single blown-film line tucked behind a cinnamon warehouse in Biyagama. Our founder, Mr. [Founder Name], saw that local exporters were forced to import most of their poly bags and film because consistent quality simply wasn’t available at home. Armed with one extruder, a four-person crew and a promise to “make packaging our customers never have to think twice about,” he started producing LDPE bags for tea and spice merchants.

Two decades later we occupied a 6-acre integrated factory minutes from the Colombo Port. What started as 800 kg per day of film output has grown to 7,500 kg per day across 10 multilayer extrusion lines, two 8-colour flexographic presses, a rotogravure press, solvent-less lamination, slitting, wicket, pouch and zipper bag machines—all under one roof. We now supply more than 600 Sri Lankan manufacturers and export to 22 countries across Asia, Europe and Oceania.

People & Progress

People & Community

We employ 450+ Sri Lankans, offering continuous technical training, free transport, and subsidised meals. Beyond our gates, we sponsor coastal clean-ups, donate school supplies in Kegalle, and fund polymer-engineering scholarships at the University of Moratuwa. Because building a cleaner packaging future starts with investing in people today.

Looking Forward

Innovation never stops. In 2025, we will commission a three-layer POD line for ultra-thin high-strength films and introduce bio-PE derived from sugar-cane ethanol—keeping fossil carbon in the ground while maintaining the performance your supply chain requires.
